People looking for accountancy jobs could benefit from a boost in global recruitment.
The sixth edition of the Antal ‘hiring and firing survey’ reveals that recruitment is on the rise across a number of countries – news that will likely be welcomed by those currently looking for work.
The research, which covers recruitment markets in Europe, Africa, India, China and the USA, reveals that the number of businesses hiring at professional and managerial levels has increased by one per cent since the start of the year to 54 per cent.
Furthermore, an increasing number of firms are expecting to bolster staff numbers in the next quarter, with 58 per cent of companies looking to hire.
It is also revealed that the number of firms intent on shedding staff has reduced by six per cent since the autumn, from 28 per cent to 22 per cent currently.
The banking sector has purportedly been the most significant beneficiary of the recruitment boost, with the engineering industry also said to have benefitted.
