Accountancy jobs could be created if the government listens to calls to encourage more people to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams.
A leading economist has suggested that the government could do more to help people looking to set up their own business.
While only a certain percentage of new ventures prove successful, those that do will likely recruit experts to look after the financial side of the business. As such, accountancy jobs could be created.
Michael Baxter, of Investment and Business News, said that the government could use the changes made in the upcoming Budget to help start-ups.
He said: "I am not against the government making cuts but at least some of the money saved through making cuts should be pumped into boosting innovation and entrepreneurial businesses."
To drive home his point, Mr Baxter points to the recent news that Japan has finalised a $33 billion (£22 billion) package to support business.
