Sleep classes could help people in accountancy jobs

Company employees, including those in accountancy jobs, could benefit from sleep classes, it has been suggested.

The Sleep Council reveals that people who are sleep deprived as a result of stress in the workplace, could find relief via expert classes.

Businesses which help their employees in such a way could then benefit from the associated perks of having a more refreshed, less stressed outfit.

Jessica Alexander, spokesperson for the Sleep Council, said that bigger businesses were in a particularly good position to offer assistance through sleep classes or alternative relaxation methods.

"Larger companies probably have more room to do this. You do see ideas like Indian head massages being used by some companies, but this is not so common."

Ms Alexander made her comments after research from Travelodge revealed that 75 per cent of UK workers get less than the recommended eight hours of sleep per night.
