Who’s in demand – March 2010

We’re seeing a number of roles in the accounting and finance function on both a temporary and permanent basis arise. Those who can demonstrate strong communication and commercial skills are highly sought after for internal-client facing or business partner roles. And as employers keep pace with international standards it’s those with IFRS experienced consultants who are in demand.

Value for money continues to be the watchword across central government so it’s no wonder that employers are asking for procurement professionals who can clearly demonstrate how to achieve it.

Central government continues to go through significant change which is where change communication managers and communication and stakeholder managers come in to help the smooth running of this change. Those who have previous central government experience are in particular demand.

IT recruitment continues to be buoyant despite the uncertainty in central government. Technical architects in particular are still in demand.
