Recruitment agencies could have played a part in the recent rise in the number of people finding work in the manufacturing sector.
According to Markit Economics, employment in the UK manufacturing sector increased to its highest level in 15 years, with recruitment agencies likely to have placed a number of these workers in their jobs, reports RTT News.
The employment drive has come about as a result of a rise in new work, as the business world begins to regain its footing after the recession.
Rob Dobson, senior economist at Markit, said the recovery of the industry was little short of staggering, though the rate of growth was now likely to slow.
He told the news provider: “The rate at which the sector has been recouping the output lost during the recession has been nothing short of remarkable.
“However, the latest survey offered signs that conditions may have passed their peak, as indices for output and new orders have tapered off in recent months.”
