Senior Learning & Development and Organisational Design/Delivery professionals are in demand as more organisations invest in developing and re-deploying the people they have, as opposed to recruiting others in.
We are also seeing increasing demand within L&D for Management Development Managers and Comp & Bens/Rewards professionals. This has come about from the impact of the recession as companies are keen to upskill their management teams and retain their talent for the long-term.
Through a mixture of some organisations growing in confidence, and others that have been expanding rapidly despite the recession, there is a renewed focus on recruitment activity. This is leading to a need for more recruitment-focused roles, or at least for recruitment to take up a bigger chunk of the daily HR responsibilities.
This renewed focus and confidence is also paving the way for more strategic Senior HR professionals, and those with a track record in adopting a pro-active approach, looking at long-term resource planning and talent management are particularly highly valued in the current market.
