Who’s in demand – March 2011

Opportunities within the HR market are on the rise, but there are specific pockets where activity is particularly high. One of these is within the Learning & Development arena where we are seeing a marked increase in roles, particularly at the senior level. Many positions on the market for L&D managers require professionals who can demonstrate true business partnering and strong business exposure.

We are also seeing a sharp rise in recruitment vacancies across a number of sectors, especially Oil & Gas and Financial Services. These roles can be found at all levels, and for many of these positions, there is a strong desire for professionals to demonstrate project experience.

In the South West, we are starting to see a number of roles come onto the market for Comp & Bens specialists and Reward & Recognition professionals. These tend to cross a range of levels, with some focused at a more strategic level while others sit at data analyst level.
