The success of a law firm based in Somerset could be good news for those seeking legal jobs in the region.
According to the Somerset County Gazette, the Taunton practice Ashfords has been named one of the best firms for transactions in the UK by the Experian Corpfin Deals Survey.
The study ranks the top ten legal advisors based on transaction volumes between April and June each year, with Ashfords landing a first place for the south-west and 11th out of the top 20 in the UK.
Simon Rous, chairman and head of corporate at the legal jobs provider, told the newspaper: “This is a great achievement for Ashfords. We have again come top in the south-west and are pleased to maintain our role as one of the leading law firms in the region.”
A recent report published by Vivia Chen for Legal Week suggested that some mothers are balancing their legal jobs with parenting responsibilities in order to get ahead in their career.
